I am Liam's "little sister" and soon to be the sister in-law of Elzette. I have literally known Liam my entire life. I was the one who stole the title of "only child" away from him but would like to think that I gave him a new one - "Worlds Best Big Brother". He was my first friend before nursery school, my adventure partner on holidays, coach of various sports and one of my biggest supporters. I have never known a life without Liam and I am honoured to be his "little sister". In 2015 I was introduced to a gentle, soft-spoken young lady. She was so down-to-earth and radiated with a natural beauty. I remember thinking: "Liam, you better hang on tightly to this girl!". I am so glad that he did and I am ecstatic to have her part of my family PERMANENTLY!

2013 - 'n vreesbevange jaar, want dit is my eerste jaar op universiteit en ek is alleen. Min wetend het Liewe Jesus reeds voorsorg getref. Ek het vir Zettie in ons Politics klas ontmoet, saggeaarde, vriendelike, stil (maar moenie dat sy jou flous nie) en opregte mens. Dadelik geweet ons sal oor die weg kom. Sy was my ry geleentheid klas toe, en dis waar alles begin het. Vandag 6 jaar later (amper 7) is ons tweedle twins - sy is my beste vriendin, my "go to person"! Ons het nagte om saam geswot, saam gehuil, saam gelag en saam laf gewees - tonne herinneringe wat ek veraltyd sal koester. Ek is ongelooflik dankbaar dat ons vriendskap vandag net nog sterker is♥️

My best friend is getting married! Zet and I have been friends since primary school and now I call her family. She has always been there for me and I am very grateful for having her in my life. I wouldn't have been the person I am today without her. We spent most of our school years together and have shared so many memories, experiences and many tears of laughter. Distance and time won't ever change the fact that she is my best friend. I cannot wait to be a part of her and Liam's wedding day. This is not only going to be one of the most special days of their lives, but mine too. Liam has chosen a beautiful (inside and out) life partner and I salute him for that. Liam and I have been friends for 15 years and I've enjoyed every year to this date. Liam is always there for a chat when you need him to be and does he like to chat! We became closer when we shared the same interests in sport and played along side each other. We also like having the odd braai since we left school. He is a very keen sportsman whether it’s golf or cricket. I’m proud of him for how far he has come in his career and life . Great job brother! Now seeing you getting married is the next adventure and I am honored to stand by your side on your special day.

I met Liam at Durbanville Baptist Church many years ago and it was his insane love for sport that drew us together, as I am too a bit of a sport fanatic. I have had the privilege of watching him grow through many of life’s ups and downs. To see Liam’s love for cricket coaching, you will quickly see how passionate he is about his work. As the coach, he has opportunity to mentor, guide and help the athletes grow from boys into men and I could not think of a better equipped individual. Since Elzette came into Liam’s life, there has been an added spark and spring in his step that is unmissable. She compliments him in so many perfect ways and is his rock and his soon to be “home”. Together they have endured multiple long distance periods, but these have just made their bond and love deepen.
