When should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm sharp. It will be taking place on top of the hill overlooking the grounds, roughly a 5 minute walk up the road from the castle (there will be a car for those who need assistance). Please leave yourself enough time to get to your seat if you're driving yourself. If you are taking one of the buses, they should arrive with plenty of time to spare.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

It will be completely outdoors, mostly on grass (except for the dancing). It can get quite hot in Tuscany in June, so please keep that in mind while packing!

What's the dress code?

What's the easiest way to get to Gaiole?

Answer

As mentioned in the "Travel" section, we highly recommend renting a car to navigate Tuscany carefree. The closest major airport is Florence (FLR) which is roughly a one hour drive from the venue. However, there are usually more flights into Rome-Fiumicino (FCO) from the States. The drive from Rome to the venue is roughly three hours. If roadtripping isn't your thing, you can take a short train from the airport to Rome's Termini Station, then the high-speed train to Florence (1.5 hrs). Do I have to attend every event of the week?

Answer

Nope! We would like to offer you as much flexibility with your travel plans as possible. Feel free to only attend the wedding if that's what works with your schedule. We just kindly ask that you RSVP accordingly!

Is a wedding gift expected?

Answer

Absolutely not. We are asking you to spend a lot of time, money and PTO to come celebrate and thus do not expect you to give a gift as well. If you would still like to give a gift, we have a registry linked above.

How do I know if I'm invited to stay at the venue?

Answer

While we would love to be able to accommodate everyone at the castello, it can only sleep about half of our guests. Ali or Liam will be in contact shortly after Save the Dates go out to let you know if you are invited to stay on-site.

Do I have to stay at one of the hotels listed in the Travel section?

Answer

You can choose your own accommodations if you'd like. However, the shuttles on the day of the wedding will only pick-up & drop-off from the three hotels, below. If you stay in different accommodations, you can walk over to one of these hotels for a ride: Castello di Spaltenna Rocca Di Castagnoli L' Eroico

Are young children invited?

Answer

Yes - if you are using this time as a family vacation, your children are more than welcome to come. We kindly ask that you inform us directly if you plan to bring them so that we can help arrange children's meals and baby-sitting services.
