Our Story: Two financial planners who met in the workforce are now becoming one! Our friendship progressed in the summer of 2019 when Tim took me to the top of Flat Fork Creek Hill and officially asked me to be his girlfriend. From our careers to our likeminded hobbies, we couldn't have more in common. We attended the same church, worked out at the same Crossfit gym, worked in the same industry and were immediately drawn to one another. Anyone that knows us knows that we love to stay active. Whether it's working out, exploring different parks, traveling, enjoying live music or finding new ways to connect with each other and the boys, we are in. We are so excited to spend life together! The Proposal: Tim and I went on the trip of a lifetime in October to Utah and Arizona. Little did I know that Tim had big plans for our first night on vacaiton. The idea of him proposing didn't even cross my mind because my CFP exam was coming up 3 weeks after our trip, and he told me he wouldn't propose prior to my exam because he wouldn't want me to be distracted. Tim scheduled a surprise activity for us as a thank you for planning our trip. He down played the activity saying it was nothing big. We then drove into Zion National Park and started to hike the Canyon Overlook Trail. It's only a 1 mile trail, but it's all up hill, and I was in a dress and sandals. Tim started apologizing saying he read online that it was suppose to be an "easy" trail. We finally got to the top and there was a man playing acoustic music. The trail overlooked the most gorgeous canyon views. Tears immediately started rolling down my face before I even knew what was happening. I said to Tim, "This is the most romantic thing I have ever seen". Tim then pulled out the most thoughtful thank you card, and it was at that moment that I realized the music was there for me. He then got down on one knee and proposed! It was the most romantic moment of my life, and I wish I could relive that day over again.
