It all began on a warm summer night at Summerfest. Picture this: music blasting, friends hanging out by the rock bluff with the view of Lake Michigan, and two people who definitely noticed each other but didn’t talk to each other for hours. One of us was very quiet and the other was really nervous. We will let you guess whos who. Eventually we started chatting and once we did, we didn’t stop. The truth? She thought he was way out of her league and he thought she was unforgettable. The night carried to our good friend Ethan’s house where conversation flowed until the early hours, tailing into Mcdonalds breakfast in the morning. By then, it was pretty clear we were onto something. From there, things just clicked. Our first date at Pike Lake sealed the deal: a sunset hike, a round of Uno (spoiler: it turned into a lot of Uno and Lukas wins every round), and the start of countless adventures. Since then, we’ve built a life full of music, sunsets, way too many card games, and a family of four cats who keep us on our toes. Now, Summerfest is our yearly tradition — and this year, we get to celebrate the biggest one of all by saying I do.
