Joshua is my younger (and cooler) brother and my original roommate. Joshua is the king of finding great ramen spots and trying fish at the restaurant that everyone else is too scared to order. An avid runner, at the time of this writing Joshua is training for a half marathon. Originally, it was Jesse's bright idea but he conveniently moved out of state before the race.
Paige Elson

Lexie's better half and former roommate, whom she met in the Pepperdine Theatre Program. Paige and Lexie first bonded over the value of a dollar after they dove into a dumpster to get a free ironing board. Their love of couponing (and each other) has only grown since.
Kevin Shipp

Born in Tuscon, AZ, and currently residing in Michigan, Kevin and Jesse met in college. We were roommates for about 8 years. When he wanted to keep an albino hedgehog named Dandelion in my closet I said "sure." When he decided to raise chickens in his closet, eventually needing to build a coop outside in our backyard in North Hills, I didn't bat an eye. Thankfully, Michigan has a lot more space than our closets ever could.

Jesse's older and wiser sister, who is the only Perez Family Member who will willingly play catch with Lexie. You can find her at your nearest Grocery Outlet buying another charcuterie board, or absolutely annihilating the rest of the family in Fantasy Football.
Hernan Maldonado

I met Hernan all the way back in high school at St. John Bosco when he started dating Lauren. He's been a staple in our lives ever since. He is the Perez Family Fantasy Football Commissioner and my future brother-in-law. We've road-tripped out to Laughlin, karaoke'd (is that a word?) in Antigua, and, most recently, he's become the premier duffy boat captain of the LBC.
Cady Perez

Jesse's younger sister, who shares Lexie's passion for taking on a new craft every two weeks and fully abandoning the previous hobby for the rest of eternity. Cady's dog Scout has expressed his concern about Lexie joining the family by continually peeing on her. As of now, Scout and Lexie are still working on their relationship.
Martin Valles

Martin is my future brother-in-law. Ever since Cady brought him to The Fat Dog in North Hollywood, it feels like he's always been around. He would be the most dangerous politician if he decided to use his power of influence for evil: he somehow wrangled the entire family out camping, got everyone into UFC (even the squeamish people like my mom and myself), and is probably also the reason why we are all finally getting married.
April Rock

One of Lexie's best friends from Pepperdine, who is Lexie's go-to source of what the "kids" are up to these days. Lexie and April lived together one summer, where Lexie found April in a near-coma after consuming an entire pan full of baklava by herself. Lexie has never been more proud.
Zachary Sandberg

Originally raised in Maryland, I first met Zach in London while studying abroad in college, my first thought was "who is this crazy kid in the pink hat?" Zach is one of the most adventurous people I've ever met. He's traveled all over (with maybe some questionable decision-making sprinkled in there). Similar to Carmen San Diego, you never know where in the world Zach is at a given time but he's always the first person to show up and be there for you.

A fellow former Texan, Olive and Lexie have been friends since their junior year of high school. After both then attending Pepperdine together, Lexie now proudly serves as Olive's stage mom, hype-woman, and professional beach photographer.

As Kevin's best friend since childhood from Tuscon, AZ, I had heard a lot about Ryan P. Biggie before meeting him. I met Ryan on my 21st birthday in Las Vegas. I don't think I need say much more other than the fact that Ryan is still one of my best friends after meeting under questionable circumstances is a testament to him.
