Owen park/Warren Wilson Trails
You can park at Owen Park and enjoy the trail around the ponds. There is a small trail that leads away from the ponds that connects to some of the Warren Wilson Trails. These can also be accessed along a trailhead on Riceville Road across from Berea Baptist Church. These trails are easy to moderate level and have minimal elevation change. Many run alongside the Swannanoa River and actually are across the river from the venue!
Lookout Mountain
Hiking Trails in Montreat-Lookout Mountain is a great WNC hiking experience of some technical trail, climbing, and wide open views at the top. About 3/4 mile hike to the top (rather steep) and can be turned into a longer loop connecting with other trails. Other trails in the Montreat area: Rainbow Road, Rattle Snake, Greybeard
Craggy Gardens Picnic Area
Views of the Asheville and the surrounding mountains. A few different trail options from the visitor center and surrounding parking areas.
Biltmore
You can book tickets for the grounds only or for a tour of the house as well. They're gardens will be beautiful at this time of year. There are a number of walking and biking trails (easy to moderate) that start in Antler Village. They also have a winery and restaurant on site.
Trail Head Restaurant & Bar
A favorite go to restaurant for carry out for Lexi and Micah. Quick, tasty, and well priced food and drinks at a pub style restaurant in downtown Black Mountain.
