We will be getting married and celebrating at Hidden River Events in Swannanoa, NC. This 20 acre riverside property is 15-17 min east of Asheville and is almost in our backyard. We are excited to share with you the place we live and love.

We met on Hinge...dating apps. After the typical first dating app date of coffee to make sure the other wasn't a serial killer, we hiked Cold Mountain and looked for salamanders as our second date. Micah could keep up with Lexi on long hikes and Lexi liked looking for salamanders...seemed to check some important boxes. At that point, we were both pretty interested and we started dating. About a month later the pandemic started, and we somehow navigated that uncertain time and came out of it very much in love. Looking for salamanders has always been a fun activity that has continued throughout our relationships. It seemed fitting for Micah to include it in the proposal. After we hiked for a while along a new "trail" (more like up a stream), we came across a beautiful waterfall and large pool of water below it. Micah played it cool and fished for some time while Lexi and Willow explored and admired the waterfall. After eating lunch, Micah called Lexi over to a log near the base of the waterfall to come check out a salamander (very typical thing to happen on hikes). When Lexi looked under the log, not only was there a salamander but a ring too !
