Jeremy proposed to Lexi in the Tribeca neighborhood of their hometown of New York City on 12.15.18. Jeremy slyly told Lexi to dress up for a nice dinner with his family, but he had other plans in store for the evening. As the couple crossed onto Franklin street they “stumbled upon” a band playing oldies for tips, and the singer called out to them for a request. With a smile Jeremy replied, “play us something that reminds you of us”. Without any hesitation, the group launched into a special rendition of The Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows”, a song near to Lexi’s heart as she often listened to it as a girl with her late Father, Greg. As the musicians began to play, Lexi remembered she’d once remarked to Jeremy that she’d love to one day hear the tune played at their wedding, and turned to Jeremy wondering if something special was afoot. A crowd of onlookers began to form, and Jeremy knelt down right on the cobble stone of Franklin Street to ask for Lexi’s hand in marriage. He then whisked his new fiancée out of the city to Blue Hill at Stone Barns for a romantic dinner, and later back to their favorite East Village dive for a surprise late night celebration with close family and friends. The two have been celebrating ever since, and can’t wait to continue the party in Sedona next Spring!
