we're getting married!

We can’t wait for you to experience our wedding weekend, Summer Nights. To us, Summer Nights is like the crackling embers of a campfire, starry skies, and the nostalgia that draws us back to Maine year after year. We are beyond excited to celebrate our marriage at the very summer camp where our love story began. We hope you can make it!

Under the towering pines, two stars collided at a camp in Fryeburg, Maine. Since they were kids, Luke and Lex spent 2 months every summer navigating their newly found independence, playing lots of sports, and making lifelong friendships. Their 5-year age gap ensured they never crossed paths, until the summer of 2015, when they first met as counselors. When pre-camp orientation began, Luke walked into the Field Office Mail Room where Lex was hanging with a few counselors. Luke (“I secretly stalked her on Facebook”) Shapiro, introduced himself, and Lex ("I didn't think I had a chance") Stein, immediately responds with: “Yeah...I know who you are.” As much as she couldn’t help blurting out the first thing that popped in her head, Luke still found her smart-ass response intriguing. As pre-camp unfolded, they spent little moments together flirting and enjoying Jockey Cap sunsets. Lex knew Luke was special when she couldn't stop laughing at everything he said. Luke really liked Lex's confidence and positivity. They both finally worked up the ~liquid~ courage to take their relationship past the flirt-zone during a counselor canoe trip down the Saco River. By the end of the summer, their relationship evolved into a deep connection that transcended anything either of them had experienced before. 8 years later, at the camp's 100th reunion, Luke surprised Lex with an epic sunset proposal on the same Jockey Cap where they first fell in love. 10 years later, they will say their vows along the Saco River and celebrate this full circle moment at the very camp where it all started.
