For our first date, we decided to go to a nice dinner somewhere that was fun, but quiet. We ended up at a sushi restaurant. It was small talk at first, with questions about college and hobbies. After going through the menu, I asked Grace what she was thinking about ordering. She said "Oh, I don't really like fish...". My internal terror calmed down once I realized she was here for me and not the meal.
