Do not wait to book a place to stay!

September is a high-tourism season! There are a few options for airbnbs and VRBOs in the surrounding area, but these will likely fill up fast. Stowe, Vermont: The closest town for hotels and motels. Lots of options with various pricing. We do not have a block of hotels (updated July 2026). Waterbury, Vermont: Fairfield and Best Western+ hotels (closest chain hotels). Elmore State Park: Campground for those with campers or looking to tent. Book quickly at https://www.vtstateparks.com/reservations. For those of you looking to bring your camper van or find a tent spot, reach out to us ahead of time! There may be spaces available at the event site. Access to water hook-up only. Port-a-potties on-site. If you're booking outside of the above options, make sure to check drive times before you lock it in. Actual time to travel may be deceiving even if it looks close by.

Transportation

You will need a car to access the area and events. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are few and far-between. For those of you who are able and part of a big group, we encourage you to carpool. If you fly into Boston or Portsmouth, there are bus systems traveling towards Vermont, but you will need a car to travel around Vermont. There is a train route that travels up to Montpelier and Burlington from the big cities, but you will need a car to travel outside of those towns.
