Love Found

4/10/2016

Bekah and Levi met in March of 2016. Bekah was 22 and in her final term of college. Levi was 21 and working restlessly as an apprentice carpenter. The story of how they began talking is now no longer considered the taboo it once was. So much so, they created a made up story of how the two met at a random party one night. Truth is, they swiped right on each other on the infamous Tinder dating app. Bekah and Levi began texting and talking to each other everyday for the next 2 weeks. Bekah felt confident that working past the small talk barrier would help make the first date less awkward. Oh how wrong she was. The two met for wine tasting at Bekah’s family winery. They no longer had the comfort of a phone screen to hide their awkwardness. Bekah was nervous because she had liked all of the conversations she’d had with Levi and didn’t want to risk messing up the first meeting. After a few glasses of wine, the conversation finally went just like the many conversations they’d had prior to meeting. Their night ended around midnight. Levi had to be up early for his graveyard shift at the job site. They weren’t ready for the evening to end so they planned another date for the next day. Not long after that, by the 3rd to 4th date, Levi started telling Bekah he was ready to commit. Bekah, being the fortress she is felt the same but told Levi she would only say yes to being his girlfriend if he asked in person. Levi did not hesitate. Shortly after their 4th date, Levi couldn’t wait any longer and asked Bekah to be his girlfriend. Again, another enthusiastic “yes!” from Bekah. Bekah and Levi fell into a whirlwind romance quickly after that. After 4 years of so many yes’s, Levi finally asked the one question Bekah had been waiting for her whole life. “Will you marry me?” with a ring he helped pick out with Bekah’s mom. Due to the ever going pandemic, they put off their wedding until they could assure the closest friends and family could be in attendance and be face to face safely. After nearly 2 years of planning, they finally set a date for their wedding. 5/13/2023. When they would become The Andersons.
