Question

Accommodations other than the hotel blocked?

Answer

There are MANY hotels around the area of Lexington, VA. There are boutique style hotels downtown, airbnbs, and chain hotels. Unfortunately, there is a horse show that weekend of our wedding, and many places are unable to take blocks. If you would like to book outside of the Wingate by Wyndham, you are more than welcome to, just book early as to make sure there is space!

Are babies/children allowed?

Answer

Due to limited guest count we are unable to accommodate everyone's children. As we would love to be able to have them come, it limits our family members and friends we would like there as well. We are only allowing immediate family members' children. Young babies that are coming under the age of 2 are to stay under the awning of the barn during the ceremony, as we wish to not have any disruptions during the ceremony. Thank you for understanding!

How will we get to and from the venue?

Answer

There will be a bus from the hotel to the venue for before and after the wedding. Guests are allowed to drive as there is ample parking space. The shuttle is to allow guests to have a fun night to let loose and not have to worry about who will be driving back to the hotel!

Can we take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony. We want our guests to be present and with us with out the presences of phones. We also do not want any pictures taken with cellphones or cameras, as we have a photographer who will capture every moment for us! We want our photographer to be able to get the best pictures uninterrupted! We will take a minute after we say I do, before we are about to walk out for guests to take a picture of us up at the alter.
