We met eachother online shortly after Bre graduated college. We won't say which dating app, but we both swiped right and now here we are planning our wedding. Bre was very clear she had no intention of staying in Wisconsin, and told Kyle that if he wasn't willing to move if we were to work out, then we weren't even going to waste our time to get to know each other - well, being that we now live in Alaska, we think we can all figure out how that conversation went. In May 2020, we went hiking at Devil's Lake for our first date (now that we're both law enforcement, looking back, we were so dumb for this) and grabbed dinner later that night. Fast forward to 2 weeks later and Kyle asked Bre to be his girlfriend - Bre pats him on the head and says "I need more time." She wasn't ready for Mr. Nice Guy yet, he was a little TOO nice and that was a red flag for her. After a 3 hour conversation with her mom and her roommate, Katie, about not wanting to pursue Kyle anymore, she trusted them and did anyways. On June 10th, 2020, we went tubing with Bre's family on their boat for her mom's birthday. Then later that night, shortly after midnight now June 11th, 2020, Bre nudged Kyle (who was already half asleep), and said "now that you've met my crazy family, do you still want to be my boyfriend?" to which he responded, "yes, now go to sleep." How romantic! One month into dating, Kyle held his phone flash for Bre so she could see while she went pee in a pit toilet at midnight in a national forest in Kentucky. Now we poop with the door open and have contests to see who can finesse the most free drinks when we go to the bars with friends. There is absolutely no such thing as "TMI" in our relationship. We love this life we live and this life we continue to build together. Bre and Kyle asked eachother, "If you could describe me in one sentence, what would you say?" Kyle: *sends picture of anxiety character from Inside Out 2 movie* "no sentence needed" Bre: "The most laid back, go with the flow, protective, and comforting human being."
