Zippity Duda, we're getting married!

Lauren and Matthew met at a mutual friends’ house February of 2016. Lauren was home from college intending on having a girls night with one of her friends, and on that same night Matthew was playing video games with one of his friends. To their suprise, it turned into a bigger gathering which brought Matthew and Lauren together. It only took a few games of Cards Against Humanity and nerf gun fights for them to fall for eachother. Before they knew it, they were texting 24/7, calling eachother every day, and after 2 weeks On March 11th Matthew ask Lauren to be his girl friend.

On October 14th, 2018 Lauren, Matthew and a group of their friends went a Bengston’s Farm for a day of fall festivities. With the help of their friends, Matthew got down on one knee if the middle of the Pumpkin Patch and asked Lauren to marry him. Without any hesitation, Lauren said yes! The surprise didn't end there, Matthew had more of their close friends and family waiting for them back at their house for their engagement party!

Matthew and Lauren learned that they both loved to explore outdoor activities with each other; they have snow boarded/ ski'd down the mountains in Oregon, road tripped across the country to New Mexico to visit his brother, and hiked in the Garden of the Gods. Some of their other favorite memories include; sky diving for Matthew's 23rd birthday, riding jet skis across the gulf coast and living it up in Chicago. On a less adventurous note, Lauren and Matthew have accomplished a lot in the 4 1/2 years they've been together. They moved in with each other and their best friends February of 2018, moved to Chicago in October of 2018 and then moved back to suburbs in July of 2019. They've changed jobs a few times and Matthew started his career as a union fireman in his home town of New Lenox, and their best accomplishment was adding their puppy Walter to their little family in 2019. They've learned to grow as people and as a couple over the last few years, and marriage will teach them many more valuable lessons! They can't wait to take on this next chapter of their lives together!
