Some of Matt’s favorite moments include epic bowling outings, Nerf gun wars that turned into full-on battles, and countless hours spent together playing Halo, Call of Duty, and Battlefield. Even though Jack now lives several hours away, he and Matt always make time to visit each other, whether it’s catching up over fishing trips in the summer or simply reliving the good old days. Their friendship may have started in the classroom, but it's flourished into something that stands the test of time and distance. Sadie was the very first person Maddy met in nursing school—and from the moment they sat next to each other on that first day, something just clicked. (Maddy, of course, was running late—and the only seat left was at the front of the room, right beside Sadie. Some things are just meant to be.) Throughout nursing school, Sadie’s dedication and famously meticulous notecards became Maddy’s lifeline. Late-night study sessions, lunch breaks filled with laughter and personal stories, and constant encouragement laid the foundation for a lasting friendship. Some of Maddy’s favorite memories with Sadie include unforgettable girls’ nights, celebrating Sadie’s bachelorette in Las Vegas (a trip that will never be forgotten), and meeting Sadie’s daughter for the very first time. Maddy has been lucky enough to stand beside Sadie during some of her most meaningful life moments—a privilege she doesn’t take for granted. No matter where life takes them, their friendship remains a steady presence, rooted in years of laughter and support. Jarod and Matt have been friends since 9th grade, and over the years, their friendship has been filled with laughter, adventure, and a fair share of unforgettable moments. One of their most cherished traditions is spending fishing opener every year at Rose Ridge Resort, where they fish, relax, and drink beer. They've also teamed up for fishing tournaments in Duluth, always pushing each other to reel in the big one. One particularly memorable moment was when Jarod sold Matt a boat with a slight flaw—a hole that led to Matt being stranded in the middle of a lake during a downpour. Despite the rain, the situation ended up just another hilarious chapter in their friendship. Beyond the fishing, Jarod and Matt have enjoyed plenty of ski trips together, creating more than a few stories on the slopes. Jarod will stand by Matt’s side as a groomsman, to celebrate the big day.

Jaedon and Matt’s friendship is built on some of the best memories, often made in the great outdoors. From spending time at the cabin in Grand Marais—cracking open a few beers and taking in the scenery—to exploring random hiking trails, these two know how to make every adventure count. One of their standout moments was when Jaedon was teaching Matt how to drive his stick shift, shortly after the clutch went out. Matt believes he only contributed to that a tiny bit. Let’s just say, there was a lot of clutch control and laughs along the way! Jaedon has been there for Matt through countless good times and will stand by his side as a groomsman to celebrate the next chapter in Matt's life.

Maddy and Jazmine met seven years ago in nursing school, where Jazmine quickly became the steady anchor of their study group. All of Maddy’s favorite memories with Jazmine include green tea shots—a small ritual that never failed to add a bit of fun to any occasion. Through every high and low, Jazmine has been a voice of reason and constant. One day maybe Jazmine's good habits and incredible timeliness will rub off on Maddy.
