Call it stars aligning, fate or just dumb luck but this all started with a few swipes on the dating app Bumble. In typical dating app fashion, Casie cancelled the first date last minute. However, she cashed in that rain check the next day & it is a good thing she did. To be Frank, if she hadn't, she wouldn't have met her future husband. They matched on Bumble in Feb 2018, neither one of them looking for anything serious. The conversation started with Casie asking if he'd wear his Cookie Day (Frank family tradition) apron on their first date. (Matt was wearing his apron in one of his profile pictures.) Matt responded that he'd only wear the apron. "Oh, you're weird, into it." Casie said. After a few one liners & cheesy pick up lines, Matt asked Casie to meet him for a drink the upcoming Saturday. (Casie cancelled the date on Saturday & instead drank champagne with her ladies. Her exact words, "The chances of this date actually leading to anything serious are slim, I'm going to cancel." So now lets fast forward to Sunday...) Sunday morning Matt received a text from none other than Casie asking to cash in that rain check. Matt figured why not, might as well enjoy a drink plus she cuuuute. They met at the Infinite Monkey Theorem, an "Urban Winery" in South Austin. (Where they would take their engagement photos a year later.) As Matt was ordering a drink, he turned around & saw the most beautiful woman he'd ever met. Now this is probably the cheesiest part but it is true. It was truly love at first sight. There wasn't one second of awkward silence. Just constant laughter & perhaps even their first smooch. In fact, they had so much fun that they went on their second date (At Gibson Bar, we'll head there after reception) later that same night. They spent everyday together since. Three months later Matt flew off to a Eurotrip he had planned before they met. The weekend before Matt took off, Casie decided to join him in Amsterdam. Matt decided to propose.
