Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi formal; please no jeans or tennis shoes. Bring a jacket also! We will provide a few blankets, but the ceremony portion will have no heating (but don't worry, we will only be out there for the most important part of our lives!)

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

We are preparing for any and all kinds of weather. It may be sunny and 65, or it may be cold and dreary. You never know what the weather will be like in December in Texas!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be taking place at Avalon Legacy Ranch. The ceremony is outside in their chapel, and the reception will be scattered throughout the house, porch, and fire pits! Heaters will be on during the reception just in case!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. There are plenty of things to do, including hanging out by the fire pits and exploring the cabin!

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Unless you are helping prepare food for our rehearsal dinner the night before, unfortunately, there is not any other events to attend besides the ceremony and reception. Check the "Things to Do" tab to see some of our favorite places to shop and eat at near the wedding venue.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

How do I get to the Venue going west on 380?

Answer

You can easily add the address into your GPS, but if you cannot, follow these directions. If you're coming west on 380, turn right onto New Hope Rd/FM-1827 past Princeton. Take the 3rd left onto FM 2933/FM-2933. FM 2933 is 0.1 miles past Oak Creek Dr. If you reach Private Road 5537 you've gone about 0.3 miles too far. Turn right onto Wayside Trl. Wayside Trl is 0.3 miles past County Road 335. If you reach Bellemeade Ln you've gone a little too far. Avalon Legacy Ranch, 2022 Wayside Trl, Mckinney, TX, 2022 WAYSIDE TRL is on the right. Your destination is at the end of Wayside Trl.

How do I get to the venue going north on 75?

Answer

You can easily input the address in your GPS, but if you cannot, follow these directions: If you're coming north on 75, once you get into McKinney, take EXIT 42A toward Wilmeth Rd. Merge onto N Central Expy. Turn right onto Wilmeth Rd. Turn right onto N McDonald St/TX-5. Turn left onto McIntire Rd. If you reach North Park you've gone about 0.2 miles too far. Turn left onto County Road 331. Turn right onto FM 2933/FM-2933. Turn left onto Wayside Trl. Wayside Trl is just past Bellemeade L. Avalon Legacy Ranch, 2022 Wayside Trl, Mckinney, TX, 2022 WAYSIDE TRL is on the right.

How do I get to the Venue going east on 380?

Answer

You can easily input the address in your GPS, but if you cannot, follow these directions: Continue east on 380 for 31 miles. Turn left on Woodlawn Rd. Woodlawn Rd becomes County Road 331. Turn right onto FM 2933. Turn left onto Wayside Trl. Wayside Trl is just past Bellemeade Ln. Avalon Legacy Ranch, 2022 Wayside Trl, Mckinney, TX, 2022 WAYSIDE TRL is on the right.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We will be starting the ceremony at 4:00pm, but we would appreciate it if everyone was seated by 3:50pm. This will allow you to grab some coffee or hot cocoa!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free! A security guard will be assisting you with parking also!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will specify the number of seats we have saved for you. If it only says 1, please do not bring a date. This will increase our guest count over the limit of 100, resulting in an extra fee for us.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The deadline for RSVPs is November 22nd! No need to mail back your RSVP, you can do it online here under the "RSVP" tab after you receive your formal invitation!

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! The venue also has a golf cart we can use to help transport guests from the cabin to the outdoor chapel area.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Absolutely. We love food. We are narrowing down our catering options and will update this FAQ once we've made our selection!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

As of right now, no. But if you need any special diet options, please get in contact with either the bride or groom!

Where are you registered?

Answer

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Unfortunately no, but Uber and Lyft are available in the area!

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Please do not take Mackenzie's Christmas decorations home. She may cry ;)

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are asking all guests to refrain from taking pictures and posting on social media throughout the ceremony and the beginning of the reception. We will announce when you can freely take pictures and post. This is a very important request from the bride and groom as they hope all guests would be present in their special moment.
