Hollywood Cemetery - Near Carytown
For the history buffs, many notables have been laid to rest within the Hollywood Cemetery, including six Virginia governors, two Supreme Court justices, prominent authors, suffragists, and many deceased loved ones from the Richmond community and beyond. The second most-visited cemetery in the nation, this beautiful garden cemetery is located right on the banks of the James River. Suggestion from experience: the blue dashed line on the road is the suggested Historic Grave Sites route (https://www.hollywoodcemetery.org/pdf/HollywoodCemetery-NotableGraveSitesJune2011-21.pdf).
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden - North of Richmond

Maymont Gardens - Near Carytown
Left to the city of Richmond upon the death of Mr. and Mrs. Dooley in 1925, this 100-acre complex includes natural-setting wildlife habitats, the Maymont Farm, The Robins Nature Center, and the Maymont Mansion in addition to the incredibly beautiful the gardens and historic artifacts!
