Martin and Leslie met through their mutual friend and wedding officiant, Leslie. The two Leslies (hereafter known as Leslie (bride) and LJ (friend), were planning to spend time together one afternoon after work. LJ had spent the early afternoon with a co-worker (Martin) and his roommate working on some homemade bagels that just didn't seem to want to cooperate and they were still mid-project when Leslie arrived. Several hours later the boys were still around when a truly inedible batch of bagels finally emerged from the kitchen. However, a spark of interest had been lit between LJ's co-worker, Martin and friend, Leslie. Working some matchmaker magic, she engineered another meetup at which point numbers were exchanged and soon after, a date put on the calendar. Many of you know that Martin and Leslie got married in a courthouse with one witness each. It was a meaningful and quiet way to legally celebrate our union. Thanks to a worldwide pandemic, moving cities/job, having a baby, and buying a house, a wedding just never seemed to materialize. Now, we are excited to have a big party with all our special loved ones to celebrate our family!
