Leslie asked Eddie for his phone number, using the excuse of 'needing a shift covered.' Afterwards, Eddie and Leslie began texting. Their infatuation for each other grew as Leslie was in Ecuador. They texted all day, and Eddie asked Leslie to go on a date as soon as she returned. Anxiously she said yes, this would be the first time Leslie would go on a date with a boy she truly liked. Two days after her return home, Leslie and Eddie went on their first date. After their first date, they planned their second, and then their third.
