Are kids welcome?

While we love your kids, the wedding is an adult-only celebration. If you need babysitter recommendations, please let us know.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail dresses, fancy midi or maxi sundresses, and jumpsuits. A suit, jacket or blazer and slacks. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be taking place on the grass, and reception will be held on the stage. Block heels or wedges are recommended and you may want to bring a jacket or wrap for the evening. Average temperatures at this time of year are highs in the low 70’s during the day and 60’s at night with some wind.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are at Roanoke Island Festival Park. There is plenty of parking, and you are welcome to leave your car overnight if needed. When you arrive to Festival Park, please continue driving past the museum and park towards the end of the lot.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The Tranquil House Inn and many of the hotels in Manteo are within walking distance of the venue. For those staying on the beach side, we recommend driving or reserving taxis, ubers, or lyft in advance. We will be calling a taxi company to have them send available cars at the end of the reception.
