It would be a mixture of semi-formal, daytime casual, and your Sunday's best! Please keep in mind the weather in MD for the summer tends to be humid. Labor Day weekend we may continue to experience that so we would suggest no suits or tuxedos just to keep everyone comfortable during the ceremony.
Ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM at Bowles Farm, outside on the lawn by the pavilion. The reception will follow at around 5:30/6:00 PM.
Yes, we have designed our bar menu to be limited drinks along with some signature drinks from Brandon and I.
We will allow kids to attend the ceremony but for the reception we would prefer for that to be kid-free. The only exception are the kids in the wedding party whose parents are either in the wedding or they themselves are apart of the wedding. We don't want to expose kids to those who tend to drink a little heavier than some. Also, as parents, we understand some may want a night out kid(s)-free.
We are not exactly having an after party, but we are planning to head out to our favorite local bar after the reception is over. We will be going to Backroad Inn after.
We have a small registry on our Zola wedding website, in lieu of gifts for our home, we already have a lot. Instead, we did "cash funds" via Zola for monetary gifts to go towards either our honeymoon, home improvement ideas, or some wedding day prep gifts (manicure, pedicure, facial before the wedding for Leslie). Whether it's a monetary gift or something personal you'd like to pick out for us, we're more than appreciative.
Our guest list is very large since Brandon & I both have very large families. Those who are not engaged, married, or who know others attending the wedding are not given plus ones due to the fact it would make our guest list over the limit. Thank you so much for understanding.
