Maid of Honor
I still remember the moment Sam and I became best friends. We were in 6th grade, 3rd period and sat at the same table. Sam had a rough day and needed to step outside, she tapped me on the shoulder and said ‘come with me’ - ever since then we have been there for one another through whatever life has thrown at us. She is incredibly loyal and a true friend. I have laughed more with this girl than anyone else and know that no matter what, at the end of the day she always comes from a place of love and compassion for others. Sam, I am so incredibly lucky to have you standing by my side as Maid of Honor. Love you girl!
Best Woman
Mya is one of my Best Women! Mya and I met shortly after I moved to Chelan and for those of you that know me, you know Chelan is an incredibly special place to me... Mya is a big reason why. Mya enjoys long walks (with wine) and working out, looking at brunettes on the beach with me and loving her beautiful wife, Kalin fiercely. Mya you are a mentor (in compression socks), my (aerodynamic) best friend and my family. I hope when I grow up, I can be just like you :) Thank you for standing strong by my side and celebrating one of the best days of my life with me. I love you buddy!
Bridesman
Brett is my oldest younger brother. If anyone knows me, it’s Brett. He may not always look it, but he has the biggest and kind heart of anyone I have ever known. From sleeping head to toe on the couch each Christmas Eve to imparting your philosophical knowledge on me about life, I know I got pretty lucky to have a brother like you... approachable or not 😉
Best Woman
Brittany has not only been one of my Best Women, she's been my sister, my best friend and my person. Brittany and I met during our days of catching bad guys together, and yes we were (are) that badass. Sorry, language! :) Brittany, you have been with me through many ups and downs, from taking my side to knocking some sense into me, I always know that I can count on you. We have lived our lives together step for step and learned from each other along the way. Watching you add wife and mother to your list of extraordinary qualities this year has been incredible and I can not be more proud to have you as my Best Woman, standing with me while I marry the Merideth to my Derek. I love you.

Bradley is my youngest youngest brother and if you think my last statement about Brett was cheesy, just wait for this one. Our whole family knows that we got even luckier to have had Bradley come into our lives. Bradley is the smartest kid you will ever meet, and definitely the smartest of our family.. even I will admit that. He’s incredibly kind, genuine and happy. I have learned more from Bradley’s tenacidy than anyone else I have ever come across. No one tops his gaming skills, his curiosity for life and his loyalty to those closest to him. Bradley was the first one I told that Ashley and I were engaged because I knew it would be met with love and support. This kid will go so far in life, and I am so grateful to call you my brother and to have you stand up beside me on this special day.
Groomswoman
Susan is one of my groomswomen! She is the other half to my (championship) beer pong team, the woman that brought out my wild side and she helped me learn to never be afraid to be myself. Susan, you are one of the most determined women I have ever met and I am constantly amazed by your free spirit and your commitment to enjoy all that this life has to offer. Who would have thought Circuit City would bring me a best friend and partner in crime for life! I can't wait to get the party started and celebrate another one of the best moments of my life with you!
Bridesman
Oh where to begin with this one. Gil and I may not have known each other as long as the rest of my party, but his soul and spirit are more than I could have ever asked for in a friend. Gil and I met in Seattle at Starbucks, but we are both from the greater LA area. He can make a smile appear on your face even on the worst day and is incredibly sure of himself. I think that’s what I have learned most from him, the ability to push through any situation and learn from those lessons life gives. Gil- I am honored to have you stand beside me on this day, but even more so to be able to call you my friend. You are one-of-a-kind and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Officiant & Groomswoman
Dusti (pictured left) is going to be our officiant! When we think about someone who knows our love and describes love so beautifully, there is no better person than Dusti. She lives life through the lens of love and joy each and every day. She is also the person that has seen our story unfold before we even knew it was going to! Dusti, we are honored that you will be the person to marry us on this day and be our friend for the rest of time. Joy (pictured right) is one of my groomswomen! :) Joy, your unwavering passion to attract all things good in your life and ability to consistently self reflect and continuously grow has been a light in my life. You are such a genuine person and I am so grateful for your friendship, the shared laughter and the many more memories to come. Love you!
