THE VENUE!
THE AFTER PARTY SPOT!
THE KICKOFF CELEBRATION SPOT! (aka our apartment building) If you plan on coming, here are some great restaurants on our street for beforehand: Bonafini (Italian), Zurilee (wood-fired pizza), Risbo (Caribbean fusion), Midwood Flats (elevated bar food), Edie Jos (cozy American), Amy's Bistro (Thai), Slow Loris (Asian-fusion).
This is our absolute favorite spot in New York City and I recommend everyone takes time to visit. The views of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge are gorgeous. We go every weekend when the weather is nice—Mike plays basketball on the pier and I go for a run along the promenade.
This is a central subway station in Brooklyn, where almost all trains stop. It's a 1.5-mile walk from the venue, through really cute, classic Brooklyn neighborhoods!
This old Italian Social Club is one of our favorite bars. It's a great spot to stop if you're early to the ceremony!
Next door to the venue and the perfect place for a glass of wine before the ceremony!
Our little slice of nature in NYC
Really yummy woodfired pizza!
A great lunch spot near the venue
The cutest bookstore by author Emma Straub. All the shops and restaurants along this street are really fun.
Seeing a Broadway show is such a classic New York activity. I highly recommend Beautiful, the Carole King musical!
Double Windsor is hands down our favorite place for a relaxed meal in Brooklyn. The fries are the best, the wings are worth getting messy for, and they have Nueske's bacon!
One of the better wood-fired pizza options in Brooklyn
Really REALLY good ramen
The Lower East Side has a cool, grungy NYC vibe...definitely a fun place to wander! Go to the famous Katz's Deli for a pastrami bigger than your head.
This is one of my favorite squares in Manhattan, and the surrounding neighborhoods are fun to explore.
