DC has a few airports, but Reagan National (DCA) is definitely the easiest for domestic flights and is only a short Uber or metro ride from our celebration location and hotel suggestions.

Grand Hyatt Washington

We obtained a courtesy block for our guests at the Grand Hyatt Washington. Our block rate is $139 per night (normal rate is $204 per night). The hotel is about half a mile from our marriage celebration venue, and next to Metro Center metro stop in downtown DC. Reservations The Hotel recommends to make web-based reservations that was customized for our wedding. Also, guests may call (202) 582-1234 to make reservations; request the room rate for the "Ellison-Elwood Wedding" block. Individuals shall be responsible for their own guest room, tax, and incidental charges; All charges incurred are to be paid upon checkout. Cut-Off Date The "Cut-Off Date" is Friday, August 24, 2018. After this date, all open rooms within the Block will be returned to Hotel’s general inventory. Reservation requests received after the Cut-Off Date will be based on availability.

We obtained a courtesy block for our guests at Sofitel Washington DC. Our rate is $249 per night (normal rate is $398 per night). This hotel is two blocks from our wedding celebration venue, and across the street from the White House. Reservations Reservations can be made by calling (202) 730-8888 or emailing james.acquino@sofitel.com. Rooms will be held under the "Ellison-Elwood Wedding Group." Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card and must be cancelled by 72 hours prior to arrival in order to avoid a one night’s room and tax charge. Individuals shall be responsible for their own guest room, tax, and incidental charges; All charges incurred are to be paid upon checkout. Cut-Off Date Rooms will be held until August 22, 2018. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be accepted on a space availability basis. The hotel does not guarantee rooms or the negotiated rate to be available once this block has been filled or after the cut-off date has passed.

We obtained a courtesy block for our guest at the W Hotel. Our block rate is $309 per night (normal rate is $369 per night) plus complimentary Internet in the guestrooms ($14.95 value per room per night). The hotel is right next to the White House and has amazing views of The Mall. It is also a quarter of a mile away from our wedding celebration venue. We obtained a courtesy block for our guests at The St. Regis Washington DC. Our rate is $345 per night (normal rate is $460 per night). This hotel is within a few blocks of the wedding celebration venue. Reservations All guests shall make reservations by calling 1-888-627-8087, identifying themselves as members of the "Ellison/Elwood Wedding Room Block September 21-23, 2018." If you would like arrive or depart on dates on which no group rooms are reserved, please call the hotel directly at 202-879-6972, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm. Individuals shall be responsible for their own guest room, tax, and incidental charges; All charges incurred are to be paid upon checkout. Cut-off Date The “cut-off date” for reserving rooms in the Room Block is 5:00 p.m. local time at Hotel on 22-Aug-2018. After the cut-off date, it is at Hotel’s discretion whether to accept additional reservations, which will be subject to prevailing rates and availability.
