We’ve decided on forever

We met in the year of 2015 at the Champlain Valley Fair! We were both walking around with one of our friends as we approached one another. Ironically we both new each others friends but had never met each other. After we had said our hellos and carried on our separate ways we had both asked our friends “who was that?”. We met back up later at Halversons when we got invited to a bonfire at a friends house in the Islands. Once we got there we continued our conversation and I ended up taking Jimmys phone and added myself on his Facebook as well as putting my number in his phone. Yes, I was the one who was making all the moves, somebody had to! Later that evening when I had decided to head back home, within minutes after leaving Jimmy had sent a text saying “come back” or “why did you leave”, something along those lines. Since that night we decided to continue seeing each other and within 6 months of dating we got our first apartment together. After a year we moved into Jimmys parents to help save money for our first house. In 2018 we bought our first home together. We love to go on adventures and making memories together. Some of our favorite times is going to Maine in the Summers or riding our side by side and finding waterfalls or other beautiful views. For several years Jimmy has always been “harassed” about when he’s going to propose to me. I felt bad for him whenever that question was brought up because I always knew where we stood and knew the time would come. However, I will admit within the last couple months before our engagement I was starting to get antsy and wanting to start the next chapter in our life together. It was a Thursday night on December 1st when Jimmy asked me to marry him. I was not expecting it at all but it was perfect in every way. It was intimate and just something the two of us were able to share and enjoy alone. I love our life together and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!
