Lindsay and Richard (Richie) met on a Royal Caribbean Cruise, Oasis of the Seas, in May of 2023. Lindsay had gone on the trip with her family during one of her break weeks in optometry school. Richie traveled with his parents and youngest sister, Marissa, and had actually only made the decision to go on the cruise 2 weeks prior to the trip. Although there were over 6,000 passengers on board, fate brought Lindsay and Richie together as they stumbled upon each other at the pool bar, along with their families, on the second day. Their connection was instant, and little did they know, their meeting was going to begin a whole new chapter for each of them. The two of them were inseparable after meeting, spending the rest of the cruise together. Both Lindsay's mom and Richie's parents could not stop talking about how Lindsay and Richie were literally the female and male version of each other - both outgoing, always looking for adventure, and ambitious. Lindsay and Richie attended many dinner shows, explored the Bahama's, and got to connect not only with each other, but with each other's families during the cruise. It felt as if they had accomplished in one week what most relationships accomplish in a few months. After disembarking from the cruise, Lindsay and Richie did not break their contact. They continued to hang out and grow their relationship outside of the ship, as Richie was only living about 40 minutes from where Lindsay was attending optometry school in PA. As their relationship grew stronger, Lindsay knew it was going to be challenging as she had to head back to CT a few months later to finish her rotations for school. However, Richie without hesitation, decided he wanted to make the move with her to CT. Although it was risky, as Richie was just starting to grow his property management company in PA, he decided to start from square one, and built it back up in CT so they could be together. Lindsay and Richie are now living in New Haven, CT. Lindsay is currently practicing as an Optometrist and Richie is running his quickly growing property management company. In their free time they love traveling, spending time with their mini goldendoodle, Nala, and bantering on Sundays, especially when the Jets and Patriots face off, each fiercely loyal to their rival team. Lindsay and Richie are so excited to embark on this next chapter together, and cannot wait to share this part of their journey with you all.
