Zack and Lela's story is a true testament to how small the world truly is. Zack was born and raised in Kentucky, and after going to school at the University of Louisville, he decided to join the Air Force. After 5 years of being stationed other places, Zack ended up stationed at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA. Lela was born and raised in Northern California, but had moved to Kentucky and graduated from the University of Louisville before moving back home to California. Our paths never crossed until May of 2022 when Lela and Zack met in Winters, CA where Zack was playing in a cornhole tournament on a random Thursday night. From that night on, the two were attached at the hip. After only 3 weeks of knowing each other Zack and Lela decided to drive cross country to Kentucky and stay a month visiting all of Zack's family. Since then the two have traveled to Disneyland, Hawaii and South Carolina together, and often go on weekend trips together exploring California. The two have many things they love to do together including corn hole, bowling, fishing, road trips and traveling. In April of 2023 Zack returned home from a 6 month deployment overseas, and asked Lela to marry him when he walked off of the airplane at Travis AFB.
