Getting to Marbella
For those joining us in Marbella, the two closest airports to fly into would be: Malaga: The larger international airport, with more flight options, is about a 45-minute drive from Marbella. It’s a great choice for those flying in from anywhere around the world. Gibraltar: A 1h drive from Marbella, Gibraltar is an easy option for those flying in from the UK. Plus, it’s a great spot for a quick adventure before the celebration! If you choose Gibraltar, you will need to cross through border control into Spain (sometimes there can be a lengthy queue). If you're renting a car in Gibraltar, please make sure to clarify to your rental company you will be driving into Spain as you may incur additional charges. Ubers and taxis are readily available at Malaga airport and usually cost between 70 and 95 euros. We use a family taxi service run by Salvador who would be happy to arrange transport for wedding guests from either Malaga or Gibraltar airports - he can be reached via telephone/message/whatsapp at +34679718073 and he has a wide range of cars available (including for up to 7 passengers). Marbella has lots of lovely homes and hotels to stay in, although as May is the start of the busy summer season, we would recommend booking early. Cool scandi-style hotel on the Golden Mile, minutes from the reception venue and also the beach. They have a great on-site bar and restaurant that can be really fun in the evenings.
