The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment
If you are staying close to the venue or in San Marcos, we recommend checking out The Meadows Center. Take a ride on the glass bottom boats, walk the wetlands board walk, learn more about our delicate eco system, and learn more about a place with over 12,000 years of human history!
Pinthouse Pizza
This is one of our favorite easy spots for pizza and beer. You can't go wrong with the Pepperoni & Basil. If you feel adventurous, we recommend the Honey Pear pizza. It's the bomb!
Lick Honest Ice Creams
Delicious gourmet ice cream! This is one of our favorite places for a sweet treat.
Pinballz Kingdom
An awesome spot for kids and adults alike! This is an arcade that has a full kitchen and bar, what more could we ask for?!
78758 Breweries
Austin is known for it's craft breweries! They are all over the city, and there is a nice cluster of warehouse breweries in Austin's 78758 zip code. Our favorites are Austin Beerworks, Circle Brewing, and 4th Tap. Some of them are within walking distance of each other, but we recommend grabbing a Lyft or an Uber to travel to and from your accommodations (and maybe to some of the ones a little farther away if you want to hit more than one). If you want to stay down south, we recommend St. Elmo Brewing Company.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema South Lamar
Movie theater meets restaurant, this place is an OG Austin experience. From traditional movie snacks, to full on lunch or dinner, to beer & cocktails, all served to you during the movie! Drew highly recommends the warm cookies and ice cream for dessert!
