Drew and Leigh Ann first met during their undergraduate years. Despite only ever exchanging approximately 5 words, Leigh Ann was crushing hard. Nothing came of that, life went on. Fast forward to July of 2017, Leigh Ann drove to Little Rock, AR to visit Kelli (BFF, MOH). During the visit, Kelli commandeered Leigh Ann's phone and was swiping through the local Bumble fare to see if she knew anyone. Lo and behold, Drew Ritchey happened to be in Little Rock that weekend as well. Kelli said, "Hey, do you remember Drew Ritchey from Hendrix? He's on here! Should I swipe right?" "Yeah, I had that crush on him freshman year, remember?" Kelli swiped and it was a match! Drew invited Leigh Ann out for coffee. Being the good friend (and oblivious fool) that Leigh Ann is, she asked if she could bring Kelli along. "It will be a little Hendrix reunion!" she said. Well, it was love at second sight (and Kelli's claim to fame in this story is that she was on our first date). Even the 500 mile distance between their homes couldn't keep them apart. Drew moved to Austin to be with Leigh Ann after 6 months. They adopted their dog Sasha together after 10 months. On October 29th, 2018, they hiked out to Whitaker Point overlooking Hawk's Bill Crag in Northwest Arkansas and Drew got down on one knee and asked Leigh Ann to spend the rest of her life with him. Of course she said yes! And the rest is history, as they say.
