April 2024: In December 2023 Saylor and Leigh moved back to Des Moines, Iowa, and began living downtown. Spring in Des Moines is beautiful!

Nov 2023: Quality time at Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Co. ("CABCo"), Saylor found his favorite beers since first going in 2019 to meet the Carlson family!

Sep 2023: In the midst of moving back to Des Moines, Saylor visited Leigh at her new job to celebrate her birthday and walked Grays Lake! Soon after they fully moved from Pella back to Des Moines.

Aug 2023: Continuing Iowa State Fair traditions by frequenting the Iowa Craft Beer Tent!

July 2023: While they lived in Pella, Iowa, they frequently returned to Des Moines, this time for baseball!

July 2023: Exploring the Badlands on the way to celebrate a family wedding!

April 2023: Continuing the Drake Relays traditions with their first West End Breakfast as alumni! This is where Leigh and Saylor first got to know each other.

Sep 2022: A weekend getaway to Okoboji, Iowa!

Aug 2022: Lots of transition! Leigh and Saylor started their full-time jobs after graduation, and moved in together in a duplex in Pella, Iowa, to be near Leigh's job!

May 2022: Graduation surrounded by family!

May 2022: Leigh earned degrees in International Business & International Relations with minors in Econ & Spanish. Saylor earned a dual degree in Graphic Design & Computer Science, with a Math minor!

March 2022: SAE toga party! Siblings Emmett, Garrett, and Wyatt joined in!

Feb 2022: Saylor's Mom, Erin, marries Jerry! Their marraige is celebrated by Saylor, Leigh, Saylor's brother Emmett, Sister Lucy, step-brother Jaden, and many other loved ones.

Jan 2022: Leigh, Saylor, and many friends went to Costa Rica for a January Term before their final semester! Needless to say they gave presentations on the bus.

Dec 2021: First Christmas together!

Oct 2021: Saylor rang in his 22nd birthday at the beloved Drake bar, West End!

Aug 2021: Saylor joined the Carlson family tradition of working at the Iowa State Fair! They worked opposite schedules at the Top of the Vine, so Leigh's Mom, Kristin, gave him a fair tour!

July 2021: Saylor and Leigh made their way to Albania for a weekend excursion. Albania? Highly recommend. 11 hour bus ride from Kosovo to Albania? Not so much.

July 2021: Leigh lived in Pristina, Kosovo, for summer 2021 working an internship. Saylor came to visit! It was fun to explore together.

May 2021: A photoshoot on Drake University's painted street!

March 2021: Neighbors! School year 2020-2021 was quite boring due to covid restrictions. Living next to eachother was extra special to share some quality time together and with a few close friends!

Jan 2020: Spent covid J-Term visiting Saylor's family in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina!

Dec 2020: Celebrating an early Christmas in Des Moines before Saylor went to see family in South Carolina!

Nov 2020: Saylor was elected President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Drake University! Such an exciting moment at a place special to both Saylor and Leigh. Leigh was so proud!

Oct 2020: Celebrating Saylor's 21st birthday at Gilroys before a covid-time hotel night in! When Scott opened the restaurant, little did he know the red-head theme would fit his son-in-law so well!

Sep 2020: Leigh's 21st birthday, hotel-style due to covid. Saylor's Dad, Stan, generously booked a suite for the night for an intimate group of friends to celebrate a night in!

July 2020: Covid summer was slow and full of quality time together. Leigh and Saylor enjoyed exploring outside!

June 2020: Exploring downtown Des Moines!

Apr 2020: Leigh and Saylor finally got to see each other after five months! Despite Leigh's 4-week quarantine, Kristin made them hang out outside, 10 feet apart.

March 2020: Leigh had to rush home from Spain due to the covid outbreak. She caught covid and quarantined for four weeks. Saylor and Leigh were so close yet so far! Lots of Facetiming to pass time.

Dec 2019: Some late night cafeteria hang outs before winter break and Leigh jets off to Spain for the Spring 2020 semester!

Dec 2019: Saylor joins the Carlson family at the family restaurant, Court Ave. Restaurant & Brewing Co. It was the first time he met Kristin, Scott, Garrett, Wyatt, and Leigh's uncle Grant!

Nov 2019: Leigh's sorority formal! She brought Saylor as her date. LOTS of dancing.

Nov 2019: Three days after Saylor asks Leigh to be his girlfriend, they roadtripped to Saylor's home state. SAE Formal was in the Wisconsin Dells. Lots of laughs, drinks, and water slides!

Nov 2019: Saylor visits Leigh at work at the Iowa Craft Beer Tent store! He brought his Mom, Erin, to meet her. Afterwards she said "why haven't you asked her out yet?!" He did a few days later.

Nov 2019: On the pool deck for Leigh's sorority's Anchor Splash fundraiser, a greek life synchronized swimming competition. Saylor looked like he was drowning, but A for effort!

Nov 2019: Saylor invited Leigh to the SAE halloween party! This cowgirl and greek god had fun getting to know each other better. They started dating the following month.
