Take a day trip up to the lavender fields on Washington Island! It will take a full afternoon – you'll take a ferry across to the island, and you can either take your vehicle along or rent mopeds on the island which is a great way to explore. Every year is different, but the lavender usually blooms from July to early/mid August. Make sure to check out https://fragrantisle.com/ or another lavender farm – they update their social media to reflect if the lavender is still in bloom.
