Collin and Lindsey met during a Memorial Day camping trip with mutual friends. Over the next few months, they spent time together in the same group, learning how easy and natural it was to be with each other. Collin invited Lindsey to his birthday, and at that celebration, he asked her on their first official date. They took the time to date and get to know one another for a month, cherishing that private beginning. They then spent eight months navigating a long-distance relationship, learning how to love and support each other while away. When they moved in together, they built a beautiful home, and shortly after, welcomed their first perfect, perfect, perrrfect daughter. Through all of the milestones, they have built a life full of love, laughter, and partnership, and they both can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people they love and care about most.

Collin suggested planing a trip to Sequoia National Park because Lindsey loves to visit national parks and even collects the maps to each one she travels to. He also suggested that it would be a good trip to take as their “first family trip” and to see one of Lindsey’s closest friends from her hometown. What she did not know was that he had already chosen her dream ring, one he researched through her Pinterest boards and conversations they had over the years, and was planning on asking her to be his wife. During a hike through the park, he carried their daughter in the backpack and eventually suggested that they stop to take a few photos of just the two of them. She saw that he was out of breath and after a few photos she asked if he was okay. Next thing you know, he was down on one knee telling her how much he loved her and asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes immediately! She went to look at the ring and the reality of the moment hit her all at once. It left her frozen in happy shock, glitching, and not knowing what to do next. While he laughed, Collin stood up and slipped the ring onto her finger. Their friends were both watching and filming the moment for them to look back on to remember for the rest of their lives. They all finished the hike together and ended the day with dinner, celebrating the day and the love that they all share.
