We’re so excited to celebrate with you in Tel Aviv! Here’s some important information to help with flights, hotels, and getting around.

Travel Note

Important: ETA-IL Entry Permit & Visa Information

ETA-IL Entry Permit: Travelers from visa-exempt countries, including the U.S., are required to obtain an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) before traveling to Israel. The process is simple and can be completed online. Be sure to apply well in advance of your trip to avoid delays. For more details and to apply, visit the official ETA-IL Application Website linked below. B2 Visitor Card: Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll receive a B2 visitor visa card at border control—please keep it safe, as you'll need it when booking hotels/airbnbs! Visa Requirements: If you’re a U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa to visit Israel for stays of up to 90 days as a tourist.

Important Flight Updates

Due to current events in Israel, some international airlines have temporarily suspended or reduced flights to Israel. For guaranteed travel, we recommend booking with El Al or 2 roundtrips through Europe (see below). Rest assured, we’ll keep this page updated with more flight options as airlines resume their regular services.

Flight

El Al Airlines

Some airlines have been known to cancel flights to Israel, but El Al is Israel’s national carrier, offering direct flights from New York (JFK and Newark) and connections from other major cities worldwide. It's known for its reliability and strong security measures. **Keep in mind that El Al prices tend to rise closer to the departure date, so we recommend booking early to secure the best rates. **

Flight

Connecting Flights via Europe

If direct flights are unavailable or you prefer additional options, consider flying to a European hub city like London, Paris, Vienna, or Frankfurt with any major airline. From there, you can easily book a separate flight to Tel Aviv on an Israeli airline like El Al, Arkia, or Israir. *Note that this would mean you're taking two separate roundtrip flights*

Hotel

Atlas Hotels in Tel Aviv

Atlas offers a network of boutique hotels across Tel Aviv, each with unique charm and perks like complimentary happy hours and breakfast. Most are centrally located, except Sadot Hotel near the airport. Market House Hotel is just a 4 minute walk from the wedding venue. Prices vary and change over time, but their website often features special deals. The link below will take you to their website.

Airbnb & Other Options

Airbnb is super popular in Tel Aviv and can be very budget-friendly as well. The city also offers a variety of hotels and hostels in neighborhoods like Lev Hair (city center), Neve Tzedek, Florentin, Jaffa, and the Old North. Tel Aviv is a small city, so no matter where you stay, we will make sure we can get you to the wedding easily. Taxi Information

Gett App: Gett is a popular ride-hailing service in Israel, allowing you to book taxis directly through their app, like Uber. You can download the Gett app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Official Taxi Stands: Taxis are readily available at designated stands throughout Tel Aviv and at the airport. It's advisable to use these official stands to ensure fair pricing and reliable service, rather than unofficial drivers who might ask if you want a taxi. ***When taking a taxi, be sure to have cash on you, ensure the driver uses the meter to avoid overcharging, and always ask for a receipt. Tipping is not required.***

Travel Note

Public Transportation

Buses: Tel Aviv has an extensive bus network. For detailed routes and schedules, you can download the Moovit App, where you can directly enter where you'd like to go and it will take you there. You can also add your credit card through this app to pay for the bus rides directly on the app. Trains: Israel Railways connects Tel Aviv with other major cities and can even transport to/from Ben Gurion Airport. For schedules, routes, and ticket information, refer to the Israel Railways website: https://rail.co.il/?&lan=en Travel Tips: Moovit App: To navigate public transportation efficiently, the Moovit app provides real-time updates, routes, and schedules for buses and trains in Israel. This app also allows you to pay for bus and train rides directly if you enter your card information. Rav Kav Card: If you'd rather not use the Moovit App for payment, you can obtain a Rav Kav card, a rechargeable smart card used across Israel's public transportation system. You can purchase and load the card at major bus and train stations.
