Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Whatever you can dance in! We have no specific dress code.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The first half/wedding ceremony will be outdoors on a rooftop overlooking Tel Aviv's beach, and the post-ceremony party will be indoors. There will be a nice breeze from the beach and A/C downstairs, but it's July in Israel, so it'll be hot.

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

Please do! Just let us know so that we can add them to the list.

Question

What is the weather like in Tel Aviv/what should I pack?

Answer

July in Tel Aviv is the peak of summer, so it will be hot and humid. Temperatures can range between 77°F to 90°F (25°C to 32°C) during the day, and the sun is strong. Be sure to pack sunscreen, a hat, summer clothes, and a bathingsuit. The evenings might get a bit cooler and there is a nice breeze by the beach. It does not rain in Israel during the summer months, so no need to pack an umbrella :)

Question

Will there be transportation to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will provide detailed information on organized transportation closer to the date. If you're using a taxi or rideshare, we recommend downloading the Gett app, which is reliable and widely used in Israel- sort of like Uber.

Question

Will there be dietary options at the wedding?

Answer

The venue is Kosher, and there will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. If you have any allergies or requests, please let us know!

Question

Currency, credit cards vs. cash, & tipping

Answer

Israeli currency is Shekel (NIS). Credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard, are widely accepted, but AmEx isn’t always guaranteed, especially at smaller establishments. It’s a good idea to carry some cash for markets, taxis, or smaller vendors. ATMs are widely available if you need to withdraw cash. Tipping is customary for restaurants (10–15%) and no need to tip taxi drivers, but you can round up to the nearest shekel.

Question

What should I know about Shabbat/the Sabbath in Israel?

Answer

The Sabbath, or Shabbat, begins at sunset on Friday and ends at sunset on Saturday. During this time, many businesses, shops, and public transportation services are closed, although taxis and some restaurants/bars remain open, especially in Tel Aviv. It's a great day to relax at the beach :) If you’re traveling on these days, plan to walk or use taxis or rideshare apps like Gett to get around.

Question

Are there any apps I should download before visiting?

Answer

Yes! Here are a few we recommend: Gett: For booking taxis. Moovit: For navigating and paying for public transportation.

For all the days along the way
