Do I need to bring a jacket?

Answer

Bring a warm jacket for cooler evening weather. In Seattle, there is no time of year when bringing a jacket is a bad idea.

Do I need sunscreen?

Answer

Yes. Yes. YES. Alki Beach sunshine will sneak up on you. You won't feel the burn because of the nice cool breeze off the water.

Can you rent kayaks on the beach?

Answer

You bet. There are kayaks to rent at Blue Moon Burger. Or, for a great view of the city, you can rent kayaks at the water taxi station. Look for Marination Station.

Question

Should I bring towels or a lawn chair?

Answer

Please bring a lawn chair, if possible. You only need a towel if you are going in the water.
