Leanne is my cousin, but has always been like a little sister to me. She’s one of the most loyal, kind and thoughtful people I know. I feel so lucky that we lived around the block from each other growing up, it was always so fun! She’s an amazing sister and basement dance routine co-choreographer. I’ve got so many fond memories with her, I can’t possibly list them all, but being roommates in the fabulous Ferndale is one of the highlights of my adult life. Such a fun time getting to live together and revisit our childhood days. I’m so grateful to have her by my side on our wedding day!

Dana (doodle), I’m not sure I can fully articulate what an incredible friend she has been to me over the years. She’s caring, inquisitive and seems to know me better than I know myself. I’m a better person and friend today for having her in my life. Ever since we met at Churchill High school, I knew she’d be stuck with me for life. I’m so happy that she’ll be standing by my side as I say “I do”!

Lisa is my “twin cousin” and has a heart of gold and a fire in her that I have always admired. While we didn’t live super close growing up, we had so many fun times together. She’s goofy, athletic, driven, creative and plays a mean sax… and as we’ve gotten older, I’ve watched her become an amazing wife and mother. I’m so blessed to have her in my life and by my side on our big day!

Rene and I have that kind of friendship where you can make plans on a whim, and change them just as fast. It’s so exciting to see where our days will take us. Whatever we decide to do, we always have a great time catching up and talking about life and we inevitably meet new people (often bartenders at some fancy cocktail joint). She’s an incredibly thoughtful and generous friend who I’m honored to have in my corner on our big day!

Katelynn (my college roomie) has been one of those steadfast people in my life. Though she and I can be polar opposites at times, we always balanced each other out. We can go large stretches of time without talking because life gets so busy, but when we reconnect, it’s like no time has passed. She’s another thoughtful and generous friend in my corner, and I’ve always been impressed by her discipline to get things done (particularly all her homework during our college days). I’m so glad we still keep in touch and she’s able to be by my side. I hope she knows she’s stuck with me because we got a tattoo together.

Amanda… where to begin. She is one of a kind in the best way. She’s got so much heart and passion, and she’s possibly more fun-loving and spontaneous than me! She always leaves me the best voicemails keeping me updated on her life out west… and to think, we both grew up in Metro Detroit, but didn’t meet until teaching math at Thunderbolt Middle School in Lake Havasu, AZ. I’m so glad that we taught together that year and made sure to stay in touch from afar. She’s stuck with me no matter where she roams.

Lexi is my board game, philosophical talks, constantly talking about living in a commune together with our plants and pets, best COVID roommate I could have asked for friend. She always makes me laugh, and she cares about her friends fiercely. She’s an amazing friend who loves a deep conversation, can’t paint a Bob Ross painting to save her life, and who tells it like it is. I’m so glad I had you to stick out the pandemic with to make the days fun. Thank you for your constant friendship and for being by my side as I take this next step!

Traci is about to become my sister-in-law, and from the moment we met, we hit it off immediately. She made me feel like part of the family from the first Thanksgiving family gathering in North Carolina. We’re like-minded, and she’s incredibly kind and thoughtful. I am so blessed to be welcomed into their family and to gain a sister in her. Thank you for standing by my side as I say “I do” to your baby brother!

Cora is such a fun, sweet and sassy future niece. I love playing games with her for hours and wish that we could hangout every weekend!
