Shout out to Bug Smith (Amy's cousin and Jeff's childhood neighbor) for staying friends with Jeffrey on Facebook for all these years. From there the rest is history...well after Amy checked with her family to make sure Jeffrey wasn't a weirdo. Jeffrey will tell anyone that he knew Amy was his Ace from the moment they met. If you're team Amy, you know she pokes holes in every situation to be sure of the outcome months in advance. Jeffrey patiently waited for Amy to complete all of her possible tests and with one gesture, he swept her off of her feet. Amy is a fan of the show Gilmore Girls and while Jeffrey was waiting for Amy to realize he was the one, he watched all seven seasons and found the perfect way to tell her he was going to wait - a model rocket. In the episode of Gilmore Girls an episode of the Twilight Zone is referenced. The one where the astronaut fell in love with someone before he would be in stasis in space for 40 years and when he came back they would be different ages. She put herself in stasis so she would be young for him. But he stayed out of stasis so he would be old for her. The ultimate sacrifice for love. In Gilmore Girls, one of the main characters gives his Ace a model rocket referencing this Twilight Zone episode to signify true love and waiting for her. *SWOON* Once Amy got on the same “the one” page as Jeffrey, their relationship soared to new heights ;). Amy realized Jeffrey had been right all along and she could trust his judgement. That’s when he became her Jack through the saying from the Titanic, “You jump, I jump, Jack.”
