When Sarah needed a last minute +1 to a concert in Austin her best friend, Leah, took a chance on a perfect candidate: Rayda. Rayda had a reputation for being spontaneous and fun-loving, and Leah guessed that he would be ready to party with a stranger at a Deftones concert. Plans fell through for the concert that night, but events were set in motion for a bigger plan that no one could anticipate. Over time, Sarah and Rayda began seeing one another more frequently, usually in Matt and Leah's backyard and exploring their beloved South Austin. By the time Rayda returned from an epic 21-day rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, it was clear that they were more than just friends. They began to travel together and meet one another's friends and families. They saw countless bands and festivals together across the country. They worked together, adopted a dog together, and even bought a house together. In a grand way, they grew up together, found themselves, and grew into one another. Maybe it wasn’t love at first sight, but their love certainly has its sights set on forever. Rayda proposed on Halloween morning, October 31st, 2018, which was a completely unexpected shock to Sarah. After years of dating and accomplishing so many feats together, she thought that being engaged wouldn't feel much different. She realized very quickly, as Rayda got down on one knee, that she was wrong. Overcome with every imaginable emotion, through tears she said, "yes." The love, support, and excitement that has been expressed by the couple's friends and family has been tremendous and overwhelming, and they can't wait to share their story with you in person. They have felt every well-wishing, every big hug, every congratulatory text. The love of their group is bountiful, for which they will be forever grateful. Thank you for being a part of Sarah and Rayda's excellent adventure. They can't wait to celebrate with you at the wedding, and beyond!
