We both attended St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland and that is where we first met. Christopher first saw SaraJean at a Christian Fellowship meeting and was immediately struck by how beautiful and kind she was. We started dating in college, but then, Christopher decided to join the Marine Corps and SaraJean decided to move to California--each going our separate ways for a while. Later on, Christopher was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. SaraJean was living in Pasadena, California at the time and we reconnected. In 2014, we started dating again. Christopher was then stationed at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. We started dating long-distance, and about a year later, SaraJean moved to Monterey. A little while later Christopher was stationed in Seoul, South Korea. SaraJean visited while he lived there. They traveled all over Asia together, including South Korea, Mongolia, Taiwan, and Vietnam. During the last week of her visit, Christopher suggested a hike up Namsan Mountain, which was close to his apartment in Seoul. When they reached the top, sweat-soaked hiking clothes and all, Christopher proposed to SaraJean. As a matter of fact, it happened at a bench right next to the pagoda in the picture at the bottom of this page! Currently, we live in a town called Twentynine Palms, part of California's High Desert.
