Our journey has taken us across countries, cultures, and time zones—and now it brings us back to where it all began: Bogotá. Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places, and ours is no exception. We are Leandro and Natalia, and this is our story. We met at a party in Bogotá, Colombia, a city that holds a special place in our hearts. At that time, Leandro had just arrived to live in Bogotá, eager to explore the country and all the beauty it has to offer. What makes our story even more special is that, long before we met, we had unknowingly walked in each other’s footsteps. Ten years earlier, Natalia had lived in Switzerland for a year, falling in love with its breathtaking landscapes, culture, and Swiss chocolate 😊. Years later, Leandro would find himself in Cartagena, Colombia, learning Spanish at a language academy. Without realizing it, we were already connected by our shared love for each other’s countries. After our time together in Bogotá, life took us to different places. Leandro moved to the Dominican Republic to work at the Swiss Embassy, while Natalia stayed in Colombia. Despite the distance, we found a way to be together: visiting each other whenever possible and spending six months traveling back and forth. During this time, we realized something important: no matter where we were, as long as we were together, we were home. With that certainty in our hearts, we made a big decision: we wanted to build a life together in a place where both of us could grow. And that’s how we ended up in Berlin, Germany. Natalia pursued a master’s degree while Leandro worked, and together, we started building a life full of adventures, concerts, trips, challenges, but overall beautiful moments. Along the way, Switzerland remained an important part of our journey, because whenever we visited, it felt like home for both of us. And now, here we are, ready to take the next step: getting married!!! And what better place to celebrate our love than where it all began: Bogotá, Colombia.
