Please RSVP through the RSVP tab (on this website) by August 11th.
Valhalla Tahoe, located at: 1 Valhalla Rd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. Our ceremony & reception will be at Valhalla on Lake Tahoe. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors (weather permitting), while our reception will be indoors.
Guest arrival begins at 3:30pm, the ceremony will begin at 4:00pm.
Cocktail/semi-formal attire with a twist and flair, please! We would love for our favorite people to show up in BOLD pops of fall color! Rich greens, dark red, amber, fun yellows, orange, browns, dusty pinks, purples, black, velvet, satin, faux fur, the more fun - the better! (While our color palette is a fun suggestion, but it's by no means a hard dress code should you have a suit/dress you love outside of those colors.) Midi, tea, and full length dresses are all welcomed! For those that have served/are serving, you're more than welcome to wear your Dress Uniforms. Cowboy hats, bolo ties, and boots are welcomed! For those that may wear a heel, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass.
We would love to celebrate with all our friends and family, yet due to space limitations, we will be celebrating the wedding with those specifically listed on your RSVP. While capacity for the wedding is limited, we absolutely adore all of our friends and family's littles and they are more than welcome at both the welcome event (Blue Dog Pizza) and the bonfire the day following the wedding.
October weather in Lake Tahoe is generally mild with warm sunshine in the afternoons. Daytime temperatures average 64 degrees while nighttime temperatures can drop to 30 degrees. Our venue is indoor and outdoor, we recommend bringing a coat. The fire will be lit indoors for the duration of the evening.
Onsite parking is available within Valhalla's gated lot, however overnight parking is not permitted. There is a dirt lot outside the gate on the main road where cars can park overnight. If you're planning to drive to the wedding and take a rideshare home, please text Leah or Noah and we can share a pin for the dirt lot. Rideshare availability is lower in South Lake Tahoe; if you're planning to use a rideshare (Uber or Lyft), we recommend scheduling rides ahead of the event. Taxis are a great option as well and may be more reliable! Check out Sunshine Taxi, which operates out of SLT and Stateline: https://sunshinetaxi.com/taxi-service/ If you're staying at Camp Richardson, the venue is walking distance!
We don't want to lose our $1K deposit or have the wedding shut down, so we're laying the venue's ground rules: Smoking of any illegal substance on Federal Property will result in the forfeit of the client's $1,000 contingency deposit and could result in the event being shut down. Smoking is only designated in front of the building on the road or over the cement pathway with cigarette receptacles for guest use. If guests smoke on the porch or if butts are found the morning after the event, client will be subject to forfeit of $1,000 deposit.
While we're having an open/host bar (beer and wine), tips for the bartenders are welcomed!
