A Nikah is the Islamic marriage ceremony — simple, sacred, and deeply intentional. It’s not just a legal contract but a spiritual commitment rooted in love, mercy, and partnership. The Qur’an says: “And among His signs is that He created for you spouses so you may find tranquility in them, and He placed between you affection and mercy…” (Surah Ar-Rum 30:21) It’s usually a brief ceremony with witnesses, a few heartfelt words, and a lot of meaning. No extravagance needed — just love, sincerity, and presence. Curious to know more? We’d love to share.
We believe marriage is both the merging of two families and the beginning of a new one. By keeping our wedding small, we’re creating space to focus on connecting our immediate families — grounding our union in intentionality, love, and presence as we lay the foundation for what’s to come.
Honestly? When you know, you know. We’ve known each other since high school, and even though we went our separate ways for a while, the connection never really left. We reconnected at just the right time in our lives, and one day it just clicked: What are we waiting for? From a logistical standpoint, it makes sense for our lives right now — but even beyond that, we realized we were already choosing each other in every way that matters. So we’re just making it official.
We’re not going anywhere — we’ll still be around for family gatherings, holidays, and cookouts, just with each other as our forever plus-one. Also, we’ve tossed around the idea of a one-year celebration where we can invite everyone we would’ve wanted at the wedding. Something chill, joyful, and full of love — just a chance to celebrate with our wider village. Stay tuned!
