Maid of Honor
Not many people can say they have been best friends with their best friend for 20 years. Twenty years. I don't really remember life before Amy and honestly, what's the point of trying? Amy is one of my greatest treasures in life. She has been through my bad haircuts (Yes, I had bangs. I still blame Becky to this day.), high school (She drove me to school everyday my freshman and sophomore year.), moving (So many address changes, so little time), heartbreaks, triumphs, and everything in between. Amy is kind, hilarious, caring, hard working, honest and brings out the best in me. No matter how different my life looked from Amy's; she has been the truest friend. I'm honored to have her as maid of honored, but even more honored to call her my best friend.
Bridesmaid
She's not just a bridesmaid! She's my future sister-in-law! When Drew and I started dating he was CERTAIN that his sister and I would be great friends. The first time I met Sam, she had invited is us to spend the weekend with them at their home in Nashville. Sam was so kind and welcoming. I didn't feel like Drew's new girlfriend. I felt like part of the family. Sam is welcoming, generous, sweet, A DOCTOR and has the best laugh. Like her mom she is a great gift giver, has a great eye for style and loves a good board game. She and her husband Brion are phenomenal together and Drew and I are grateful to be able to learn from them as we become official family members!
Bridesmaid
Before I fell in love with Drew, I fell in love with Atlanta. And Cathrine is my Atlanta matchmaker. A single weekend with her in 2015 found me vowing to make Atlanta my home someday . Cathrine and I's friendship may have been a long distance one (S/O to FaceTime. We love you.), but distance does not determine depth. Our friendship was such a gift during the inconsistent years of college and beyond. In the most uncertain of times, Cathrine was safe and rooted. Cathrine is a well of beauty, art, compassion, ferocity and fun. Cathrine has been such a cheerleader for Drew and I. We could not be more thankful to have her in our corner!
Bridesmaid
Katie Stephenson! I vividly remember meeting Katie on a Tuesday night in January at a Mellow Mushroom. Katie and I sat next to each other and the rest is history. Katie and I have planned more than one surprise party, organized tons of friend gatherings and have watched a lot of Survivor seasons. She is an incredible host who is always ready to serve others with genuine love and care. As a fellow only child of older parents, we're both 20-somethings with baby boomer catch phrases. Katie is thoughtful, graceful, gentle, resilient and a great hang. She has added to Drew and I's relationship in the best of ways and will no doubt continue in the years to come!
Best Man
Avery Dingler - Fun fact about the best man: When I first met Avery in our 1st period English Class in 8th grade, I actually decided I didn't like him and that we wouldn't be friends. Obviously, that didn't last long. The eccentric, studious, baseball loving friend rubbed off on me pretty quickly and we have been best friends ever since. It didn't take long for me to realize that Avery was going to be a life long best friend and here he is today, as the best man of my wedding.
Groomsman
Brion Lee - The first time I met Brion I described him as a dirty hipster (To be fair, I was in high school and I only got the hipster part right) Smart, witty and humorous, my Brother - In Law, Brion has been a part of our family for the last eight or so years and It's hard to imagine life before he was in it. Little may he know, Brion taught me how to play disc golf, which quickly infected the rest of my friend group. I am excited to follow in he and my sister's footsteps in our marriage!
Groomsman
Scooter! Scott has been one of my best friends since 8th grade. I knew we would be friends when on the first day we both got lost and stood outside our homeroom for 30 minutes together like a bunch of doofuses. Scott is charming, diligent and an all around great guy. Scott and I bond over college football and sports alike and even lived together after college. Scott is one of my life-long friends and has been a staple in my life since that faithful day we met in 2007.
Groomsman
Josh Bray - This guy is simply the best. Have you ever meet someone for the first time and five minutes later you both realize you found a friend for life? That's Josh. A laugh that can fill up a room, Josh is funny, intelligent and a sports lover tried and true. You'll probably notice the 6'4" guy busting a worm on the dance floor if you need any help figuring out who he is. There's a lot you can say about this guy, but he is as genuine as they come and that's hard to find now a days.
Groomsman
Jed Baker - My best friend throughout college and a great friend since we were playing pranks on each other in 6th grade art class. I still have a painful memory of my glue lid falling off and my artwork getting doused. (I still haven't forgotten Jed!) He and I have a plethora of inside jokes and developed a bond over tennis and disc golf in high school. ( I stand to say we actually got pretty dang good at it them both as well) Down to earth, harmful and quick-witted, Jed has been a great friend of mine for a long time and it's a pleasure to have him by my side at our wedding!
Groomsman
Tommy Thompson - Tommy and I met in 11th grade physics class. He didn't know me and I didn't know him, but we set next to each other. I begrudgingly found out he was a Patriots fan, and the friendship began. Generous, endearing and adventurous, it's very easy to be friends with Tommy. The first summer after college, Tommy and I spent almost every day at McCurry park in Fayetteville, GA playing disc golf. Tommy, Jed and I still bond over the Hawks, baseball and the NFL. A great friend it is an honor to have him at my wedding!
