Covid-19

A note on weddings during the pandemic

Dear Friends and Family: As you know, the situation with Covid-19 is still unfolding and guidelines pertaining to group gatherings may change from day-to-day. As such, we are keeping abreast of any state and local requirements and making adjustments to our event accordingly. Whatever happens, we have decided that we will be getting married on October 3rd, 2020 no matter what! We will keep you updated regarding our wedding details and are preparing for both in-person and virtual options. Please know that we absolutely understand that these are unusual circumstances. We are taking various precautions that can be adapted for differing levels of caution, but you are under no obligation to attend any part of the wedding in person! We love you and we want you be comfortable. Should you choose the virtual-only option, we will be thrilled to arrange some time to celebrate together once the pandemic is over. **As of 9/16/2020*** In order to limit the number of guests in attendance at any one time, we are currently planning an intimate wedding ceremony followed by a two-part reception (a BBQ dinner and a bonfire) which will allow for staggered guest arrival. This gives us a chance to clean surfaces between shifts and allows anyone that wishes to minimize social contact to leave the event before additional guests arrive. We know this is weird and a bit confusing, but we are trying our best to find a balance between accommodating the needs of our loved ones, complying with state restrictions, and still having an event that resembles our original plan. Thank you for your patience! We are looking forward to this passing and hope that we will be able to celebrate together as planned. Please look at the FAQ section of this website for additional information about the wedding itself and the precautions that we will be taking. Wishing you all health and safety, Zac and Michelle

A Little Love Story

Winter 2017

The connection was instant as we met under the glowing, neon sign of The Coliseum in Camp Hill. It was our first date which we agreed would involve bowling, White Russians, and endless quotes from one of our favorite movies: The Big Lebowski. Neither of us bowled very well due to the fact that we were entirely distracted by one another. However, it was obvious that that night marked the beginning of something life-changing and we knew that our love had potential. The months that followed were full of adventure, laughter, and love. Then, two years later, we went out for a wet and foggy hike and we returned engaged!

About the Venue

Whitetail Lodge

Much like our future, we knew instantly that this was the place we wanted to get married! Here is an except from their website: "Whitetail Lodge is an extraordinary hidden secret tucked into 55acres of woodland. The 3600sqft of banquet space is complimented by the majestic grounds surrounding the lodge. Originally founded in 1975 and named Camp Morehart, the facility operated as a church camp, boy and girl scout camp and Christian retreat center. Since purchasing the property in September 2010, the facility and grounds have taken on a magical feeling with gardens, a 40ft stream, a pergola, an outdoor chapel area and walking paths"
