We're getting married!

When Laynie moved to D.C. and downloaded Hinge, she didn't think much of it. It was a way to get out, explore the city, and meet new people. In fact, she had just paused her profile when a message from Lincoln caught her attention. More accurately, Lincoln's profile caught her attention. What Laynie saw in Lincoln's profile: a handsome man who travels, dances at weddings, is licensed to skydive, and enjoys military homecoming videos, oranges, and aquariums. What Lincoln saw in Laynie's profile: a beautiful and easygoing lawyer with an adorable golden retriever who travels with friends, knows how to snowboard, and enjoys breweries and trivia nights. In short, we thought of each other as the complete package! We went on our first date at Port City Brewing on April 10, 2022. We quickly realized that the top priorities for each of us were loving Jesus, spending time with people we care about, and pursuing adventures -- in that order. It didn't take long to know we had something special. After nearly two years of enjoying life and growing together, Lincoln proposed at sunrise in Shenandoah National Park in December 2023. Now here we are, trying to summarize our story for our wedding website!
