While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
Laynie was born and raised in Colorado -- she grew up in the foothills just 30 minutes from our venue! She is very proud of her beautiful home state and excited to share it with friends and family. And Lincoln loves both the outdoors and Laynie! Plus, Colorado allows your dog to be your witness on your marriage license (Ollie was a big factor).
The average weather in April ranges from 35 degrees to 65 degrees. The Denver area has 300 days of sunshine per year, but we could get some afternoon showers or even snow! Denver is the mile-high city, so we will be at an elevation just above 5280 feet. This is generally below the elevation that altitude sickness sets in, but it's still important to drink lots of water. Also, be mindful that alcohol hits harder at elevation!
The venue has parking for those who plan to drive, and Uber and Lyft are available in the area. The hotel block is within walking distance as well. Please plan ahead if you plan to drink, and remember that alcohol may affect you more at elevation.
We ask that you please arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Though Laynie is not known for her punctuality, this event WILL start on time, to Lincoln's delight.
We are opting for an unplugged ceremony, so we ask that you don't use your phone during the ceremony. Be present and enjoy yourself. We've paid a professional to capture the event. After the ceremony, take as many photos/videos as you would like! There are some great photo spots at the venue.
Carrier pigeons are an option, weather permitting. Or, feel free to just text us.
