We met boating at Deer Creek and didn't think much of it. It wasn't until the next day, when my friend invited me to John's house to make homemade ice cream, that we realized how much we clicked. I was so excited once I found out that John had any sort of interest in me. Ever since that day, we have only had eyes for each other!

On the one year anniversary of our first date (July 13th), John surprised me by taking me to a ring shop. He spared no time getting the ring and took me back to the spot where we first met, Deer Creek, on August 2nd. After a picnic on the lakefront and playing a few card games, John played some of my favorite songs while we looked out over the view. I turned around and he was on one knee! I can't even remember the moment I said "YES," all I remember is screaming and jump-hugging him!
